Me gustaría preguntar si las asignaturas del 2º cuatrimestre (del primer curso) necesitan conocimientos previos del primer cuatrimestre.

Sí, por lo menos mecánica y ecuaciones diferenciales. Ademas dependes bastante de saber integrar y derivar correctamente y demás conocimientos de asignaturas como cálculo.
